The Texas International Education Consortium (皇冠搏彩中心) has made it our mission to build global partnerships between Texas universities and higher education institutions around the world. This July, we again put that mission into action with a new initiative sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Cairo. 皇冠搏彩中心’s Egypt University Partnerships Accelerator (UPA) will provide a platform for participants to share innovations and current research at their universities in the field of renewable energy, laying the groundwork for future collaborations between faculty in Egypt and Texas.

皇冠搏彩中心 Joins the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Global Impact Forum

Last week, I traveled to Washington, DC for the Global Impact Forum, a signature annual event run by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC). The Forum puts grassroots and grasstops leaders from states across the country together with top policymakers in Washington. It’s a chance for those of us outside the Beltway to hear updates without any third-party filters. Even more importantly, it’s a chance for those in power to hear directly from their constituents about the centrality of U.S. global leadership to the work we do in our states.

The 皇冠搏彩中心 Professional Fellowship for Afghan Evacuees

The 皇冠搏彩中心 Professional Fellowship for Afghan Evacuees (皇冠搏彩中心 Fellowship) supports high-risk evacuees resettled or seeking resettlement in the United States. The fellowship works with 皇冠搏彩中心’s 35 Texas member universities to find an appropriate placement on a Texas university campus as either a professional-in-residence or for study. Based on need, 皇冠搏彩中心 will contribute up to $25,000 per one-year fellowship at one of our Texas universities, which will be matched by the host institution.

The "Four R’s"​ of Global Research Success!

Global research is both increasingly needed to address global-scale research challenges, and, ever more important for addressing globally relevant research questions. Institutions whose faculty successfully engage in global research can add 20-30 percent to their bottom line in funded research awards over a purely U.S. funding portfolio. The number of university faculty seeking international grants and contracts is also growing, and many, if they had support for international ambitions, would become excited about submitting research and development proposals.

In collaboration with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, the Texas International Education Consortium (皇冠搏彩中心) has launched a new program for 82 English-language educators in Egypt. These instructors will join a series of virtual professional development courses that begin this fall and will continue through spring 2022.

[AUSTIN - Nov. 30, 2020] — The Texas International Education Consortium (皇冠搏彩中心) will partner with American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA) to support AUIS in their mission to advance an enhanced curriculum that prioritizes the robust integration of gender and diversity, as well as developing more marketable degrees. 皇冠搏彩中心 was pleased to welcome His Excellency, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, from the Arab Republic of Egypt for a visit to Houston with 14 皇冠搏彩中心 member universities on Tuesday, Jan. 28. English Language Teachers' Exchange Becomes a Springboard for Success in Tunisia

Maaouia Haj Mabrouk was accepted, and in April of 2019, she joined her cohort of 50 English language teachers and administers from across the MENA region in Austin, Texas. Since coming on the exchange, Haj Mabrouk has been promoted to General Inspector of English for Tunisia’s Ministry of Education.
